About the Backend Developer Intern Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Backend Developer Intern to join our engineering team. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world backend development experience, working alongside experienced developers and contributing to live projects.
Responsibilities of Backend Developer Intern
- Assist in the development and maintenance of server-side applications and APIs
- Work with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Help in writing clean, scalable, and efficient backend code
- Debug and troubleshoot performance issues
- Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews
- Learn and apply security best practices for backend systems
Requirements for Backend Developer Intern
- Basic knowledge of Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Basic understanding of server, hosting, and deployment concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Familiar with Git and command line tools
Nice to Have
- Experience with frameworks like Express.js, Django, or Spring Boot
- Knowledge of Docker, Postman, or JWT authentication
- Prior project experience (GitHub link is a plus)
