About the Role
We are hiring a WordPress Developer Intern who is passionate about web development and eager to build, customize, and maintain dynamic WordPress websites. This internship will help you sharpen your development skills and gain experience working in a collaborative digital environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing new WordPress websites and themes
- Customize themes and plugins as per project requirements
- Create responsive, SEO-friendly pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (optional).
- Manage and update website content via the WordPress dashboard
- Debug and resolve website issues related to layout, speed, or performance
- Help integrate third-party tools and APIs (e.g., Mailchimp, WooCommerce, Elementor, etc.)
- Collaborate with designers and content creators for seamless UI/UX
Requirements
- Basic understanding of WordPress CMS and its ecosystem
- Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Knowledge of popular themes (e.g., Astra, Hello Elementor) and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery)
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
- Familiarity with tools like cPanel, FTP, and MySQL
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
Nice to Have
- Experience using WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, or other plugins
- GitHub profile or portfolio of WordPress projects
- Knowledge of website optimization tools and techniques
- Basic SEO knowledge
